Yesterday was my last day as a teacher after 34 years! I am officially retired! Waaahooo!!
Yogi is so confused! He can’t figure out why I am still at home!! LOL!
I’m thinking of spending the WHOLE day in my pajamas!! What do you think??
Congratulations. The key to a happy retirement is to be busy, I know you will!
Enjoy your retirement! I retired almost four years ago and have not regretted it for even a day. I am always busy and never bored. I have a room full of fabric and patterns to keep me happy.
Do it, Polly! How fun to do something like that when you feel fine and just want to enjoy it! Good for you! Congratulations on your many years of service and a well deserved retirement! Cute dog!MGM
Oh Polly I'm so excited for you...and oh yes...PJ's all day! Yogi's going to be so happy to have you home!
Upon retirement 12 years ago, my DH presented me with a box of chocolates so I could lay around all day in my pajamas and eat bon-bons....loved it!Since then I found sewing fabric much less fattening.....
Woohoo....I am sure you will find your life incredibly full. Congratulations.
Congratulations! I retired four years ago and had also taught for thirty-four years. You'll be so busy you will wonder how you ever had time to go to work. I wish you a healthy and happy retirement. Enjoy every minute!
Congratulations. Many tears abut happy ones?
Congrats, Polly! I think you should stay in PJs all day - kind of a rite of passage - LOL!
Go for it! Spend as many days as possible in your PJs!! Congratulations on your retirement.
Congratulations Polly!!! Absolutely pj's all day...quite often you can find me in my pj's late afternoon, just hate it when the door bell rings. Have a wonderful Wednesday and a wonderful, long and healthy retirement, you will never be soooo busy!!
Congratulations! I retired a year ago after 37 years as a social worker. I had to make a rule for myself that I would be up, showered, and dressed by 9:30 every morning. I am not necessarily a morning person so I was afraid I would just lay in bed every morning until noon. I really like my routine. You will find that you don't have enough time in the day to do every thing.
Congratulations on your retirement. Best wishes for it to be everything you want!I am a longtime educator myself, and am ready to retire. I've reached my "rule of 85" date but can't make that move yet. I have set my goal for 2 years from now, when I turn 60.
Congratulations on your retirement! The BEST is yet to come!
A day spent in pajamas is a good day. Congrats on your retirements!
DO the Happy Dance and keep on listening to the music-congratulations!
Congratulations Polly. Enjoy your retirement...I LOVE Pajama days.....I am going on retreat this weekend and we often don't get dressed all day. Just shower and put on clean jamas.LOL
Enjoy your retirement!!
Congratulations! I'd opt for the pajamas. Have a happy retirement. Never run out of things to do.
congrats! go for the pj's! do get around to doing all the things you've thought about doing sometime ... have a cuppa in a teahouse in japan, buy batiks in bankok, walk the great wall; let your imagination run wild! been there, done that!
I say "Go for it" enjoy your day and happy retirement!!
Enjoy your retirement Polly!
Of course you should stay in your pajamas today!!!Congratulations!!!XO Kris
How does Yogi always manage to look so dapper? I am so smitten with that little fellow! Congratulations to you and I vote yes for a pajama day so I hope you did just that!
I say that sounds like the perfect idea!!! LOL!! Congratulations on your retirement, it must feel wonderful, after 35 years of nusring I sure do feel like I would like to retire soon too, but not quite yet LOL!!!! Enjoy this part of your life, you deserve it!!!!
Congratulations! You will love retirement. I schedule PJ days:) Bliss!

I think you've earned a day in pajamas! Congrats on your retirement and enjoy.
Congratulations! I definitely think a pj day is called for. And maybe cake for breakfast!
You'll wonder how you ever had time to go to work! You'll be busy...but then you can have days when you stay in your pjs and do nothing much at all! lol
Pajamas all day sound wonderful to me! Congratulations on your retirement.
Good for you....Tomorrow is my last day at work....I will know what to do with myself. Nothing....so do the same thing. Yogi will love having his Mama home.....Congradulation....now more time to create......
All day in pajamas sounds like a perfect plan. I have 14 (or so) years to go. My retired teacher friends are living it up. They love subbing in different grades. Have fun!
Do it! I've never spent the whole day in my jammies. Or even a morning in my jammies. But it sounds like fun!!
Happy retirement Polly, this is the first day of the rest of your life and have fun. I am sure Yogi will get use to you being home and will be just over joyed. Spend a day in your jammies it will be fun but just one day. Hugs Sandra
Congratulations! If you run out of things to do, let me know and I'll send some of my UFOs your way.... :)
Congratulations!! Yes PJ's all day would be great. I hope you had a good first day of retirement!
Congratulations! I say do anything your heart desires, and your pocketbook will allow, lol! I'm still looking forward to that day...but I'm starting to feel recharged about now ~:-}pokey
