Happy National Quilting Day!

What a pretty day we had today!  After a nice slow morning of two cups of coffee while watching some morning TV with the hubby, I did get to spend some time finishing up a pretty periwinkle linen blouse with Yogi in the sewing room!

The weather outside was so nice that I opened the window in my sewing room

and Yogi enjoyed sleeping next to it!!

All that fresh air and sunshine coming in the window…

he does get such wonderful sleep in the sewing room!!

I finished three new linen blouses this week and also completed my new “Four Squared”

quilt made with a jelly roll of Amy Butler’s luscious Soul Blossoms fabric.

I found a unique chartreuse green solid to go with it to create my new design.

I am pleased how it turned out and Yogi likes it, too!  (And he sure needs a haircut, huh?)

This afternoon, I started on a new project for the Moda Bake Shop… stay tuned! :-)

  5. Polly, I love your new quilt! Today I took a friend to 2 quilt shops! She has always wanted to quilt, and I've just started (always wanted to, also). We've been papercraft buddies (and enablers) for years, so I introduced her to the world of quilt shops. She went home with fabric for 3 quilts & then some more fabric! LOL!

I love that you are Aunt Polly. I was an aunt at 15, long before I was a mom (at 31). My niece set me up on Facebook, so I am forever Aunt Lori on there!

  17. Isn't it wonderful to open the windows in the spring? Yogi definately likes it. He sure looks a lot like my Sadie with his longer hair. She is need of a spa day too. On Saturday I worked on my Counting By Fives quilt. I used a Moda Glace honey bun that I had. I like it a lot. Can't wait to see your next Moda recipe.
